Chinese Chicken Salad

Nothing fancy here. But I just find that it hits the spot sometimes. And so easy to whip up quickly.

½ head cabbage, shredded
2-4 green onions, sliced
1 package Top Ramen noodles (uncooked and without seasoning), broken up
2 cups diced chicken
1/2 can mandarin oranges, drained

Combine all of the above just before serving. Then garnish with:
2 T. sesame seeds, toasted
4 T. slivered almonds, roasted

Dressing:
2 tablespoons sugar
¾ teaspoon salt
½ cup oil
½ teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons vinegar
1 teaspoon accent flavoring
½ package Ramen flavoring

Combine ingredients, shake well, and pour over salad.

  1. Try adding mandarin oranges to this. Some sweet against the savory.
